Bio

Rachel Lewandowski, APRN, CNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and board-certified in advanced diabetes management. She cares for adults with endocrine conditions, including diabetes, osteoporosis and bone health concerns, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and other hormone-related conditions involving the pituitary and adrenal glands.

Rachel chose endocrinology because of the complexity of these conditions. Her goal is to make them easier to understand. She takes time to explain what is happening in the body, review treatment options, and answer questions in clear, simple language. She believes a treatment plan only works if it fits the patient’s life. During visits, she listens closely and works with each person to build a plan that supports their goals.

She has a special interest in supporting people who may feel unheard or need more individualized care, including veterans, people with special needs, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Rachel joined the nursing profession in 2006 and has worked in many communities across the United States. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating summa cum laude, and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys cooking, baking, reading, playing guitar, and spending time with her family.
