Hany Deirawan, MD

Hany Deirawan, MD, is a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Essentia Health. He cares for patients with all types of skin conditions and has special training in treating skin cancer. Dr. Deirawan performs Mohs surgery, a precise method used to remove skin cancer while saving as much healthy skin as possible. He also offers cosmetic and reconstructive procedures to help patients look and feel their best.

During his training, Dr. Deirawan learned advanced techniques in facial plastic and oculoplastic surgery. This allows him to perform detailed work on the face and around the eyes. He focuses on both the medical needs of each patient and the cosmetic results that matter to them.

Dr. Deirawan is active in several professional medical groups. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Mohs Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Deirawan has cared for patients in Michigan and Kentucky. These experiences strengthened his commitment to providing skilled, compassionate care to every community he serves. He speaks French and Arabic, and values creating a welcoming space where all patients feel understood.

Outside of work, Dr. Deirawan enjoys trying new foods, spending time outdoors, and keeping up with advances in surgery. He is married and the father of two children.
