Arla Spencer, APRN,CNP

Arla Spencer, APRN, CNP, is a nurse practitioner who provides care in podiatry and foot and ankle surgery. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent about 10 years working as an RN in podiatry and foot and ankle care. This strong background helped her feel confident and prepared to care for patients with a wide range of foot and ankle needs.

Arla joined Essentia Health as a nurse practitioner in 2019 and first worked in family medicine. In 2022, she moved into foot and ankle surgery and also helped care for patients in sports medicine through orthopedic urgent care. She enjoys working at Essentia because of the team-based approach and the opportunities to grow and learn within the organization.

Arla believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients. She wants each person to know that they are more than a medical concern. She takes time to understand their needs, answer questions, and provide care that supports their health and well-being.

Outside of work, Arla values connecting with people and getting to know the communities she serves. She looks forward to helping patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and get back to the activities they enjoy.
