Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center welcomes hospitalist Dr. Amy Larson

Dr. Amy Larson, a hospitalist, is thrilled to join Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center.

“I went to medical school in Duluth, and during my two years here I fell in love with the city,” said Dr. Larson. “My husband and I always had plans to move back after residency, and I was looking for a practice that would challenge me and expose me to many different areas of medicine. Essentia fits that perfectly.” 

Dr. Larson earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota. She completed her internal medicine residency at Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

“I aim to treat all of my patients as I would treat my own family members – with respect and kindness,” said Dr. Larson.
