Pediatric cardiologist Dr. Markus Erb joins Essentia Health-South University Clinic

Essentia Health-South University Clinic is proud to welcome pediatric cardiologist Dr. Markus Erb.

"Spending most of my life on the east coast, I wanted to move to a completely new location and atmosphere," explained Dr. Erb of his decision to move to Fargo and join Essentia Health. "The position at Essentia was attractive as I was looking for a less hectic lifestyle, and I’d heard life in the area was pleasant, with wonderful people and a beautiful countryside."

Dr. Erb received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

"Pediatric cardiology requires skills in acute and often emergent life-threatening situations for our patients," said Dr. Erb. "I excelled as an interventionist and enjoyed the satisfaction of helping my patients often with life-saving procedures and interventions.

"I make every effort for my patients to fully understand their diagnoses and the plans of management at each visit."
