The Essentia Health-Park Rapids Clinic, located at 705 Pleasant Ave. S., will offer a walk-in cervical cancer screening event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, June 15.

A Pap test, also known as a Pap smear, plays a significant role in prevention and the early detection of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is primarily caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), a common sexually transmitted infection. Regular screening and vaccination against HPV can significantly reduce the risk of developing cervical cancer. Cervical cancer screening is recommended every three to five years starting at the age of 21.

Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees do not need to be Essentia patients. Please contact your insurance if you have questions regarding coverage.

Appointments are encouraged but not required. Please call (218) 732-2800 to schedule. Walk-ins are welcome.
