Arla Spencer joins Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic to practice podiatry

Arla Spencer, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner, is thrilled to begin practicing podiatry at the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. She has spent the last six years working for Essentia in a variety of roles and is excited for this new chapter.  

“I am very comfortable with podiatry care because I have a strong background in patient care in this specialty,” said Spencer. “I worked in podiatry and foot and ankle surgery for about 10 years as a registered nurse before I became a nurse practitioner.”

Spencer received her education from the University of Phoenix in Tucson, Arizona. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.       

“I really appreciate the collaborative relationships at Essentia, with all of the people involved in providing care for patients, and opportunities for career development and advancement,” said Spencer. “I love developing relationships with my patients and going beyond their medical concerns to develop a sincere rapport with them.”
