Where we look at women’s health from a new lens and get real with the provider behind the lab coat and the scrubs. We’ll dare to ask what kind of woman she is? What kind of mother? Does she have healthy hobbies or does she Netflix and chill with a glass of merlot like the rest of us? What is her passion and how does she feel about us “googling our symptoms.” This will be a safe space where we can get the connection we all want with our medical team: the real, the straight talk like we get from our best friend, only if our best friend had a medical degree!

Essentia is partnering with Duluth radio personality Lauren Wells (B105, MIX 108) to present the Real Talk on Women’s Health podcast. In each episode, we’ll look at women’s health through a fresh lens and get “real” with the provider behind the scrubs

Topics will vary, but will always focus on women’s health — obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, nutrition, cardiology, and others. Wells and the Essentia experts she chats with won’t shy from those embarrassing but important subjects. Think of it as having a best friend you can discuss all of your health and medical questions with, who just so happens to have a medical degree.
