Who Can Use E-Visit?
Anyone 2 or older living in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or North Dakota, can use this convenient and cost-effective online service. You don’t have to be an Essentia patient to have an E-Visit.
What Conditions Can Be Treated With an E-Visit?
Our providers can treat the following common conditions during an E-Visit:
- Acne and rosacea
- Allergic rhinitis
- Allergy symptoms, like sneezing, runny nose, or eye irritation
- Birth control *
- Burns
- Cold, flu or sore throat (URI)
- COVID-19 vaccination side effects
- Diaper rash
- Eczema
- Erectile dysfunction
- Eye conditions
- Gastrointestinal conditions
- General skin conditions
- Genital Herpes medication refills
- Heartburn or reflux (GERD)
- Influenza prophylaxis
- Insect bite or sting
- Lice
- Low back pain
- Motion sickness
- Nail conditions
- Oral mouth sores
- Pertussis exposure
- Sexually transmitted infections or screening (STD)
- Shingles
- Tick bites
- Tinea
- Tobacco cessation
- Urinary or bladder infection (UTI)
- Yeast infection

How Does E-Visit Work?
Having an Essentia E-Visit is easy. All you have to do is fill out a short questionnaire, which usually takes about 5 minutes. Your answers will be reviewed by an Essentia provider who will make a diagnosis and create a personalized care plan just for you. You’ll also be given a phone number to call if you have any questions or concerns about your care plan.
The whole process usually takes 60 minutes or less, and if it takes longer, your visit is free. You can start your E-Visit online, or if you are an existing Essentia patient and have a MyChart account, you can access the service via the portal.
If for some reason, your condition cannot be treated online, your provider may recommend that you seek in-person care with your primary care provider or same-day care like Urgent Care.
Prescriptions
If your provider prescribes a medication, we’ll send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. Learn more about pharmacy services at Essentia.
How Much Does an E-Visit Cost?
An Essentia E-Visit costs only $30, and you will need a credit card to use the service. Your card won’t be charged until you receive your care plan, and some insurance providers will reimburse you for the cost of E-Visits.
