Shelly Neiman, APRN,CNP

Shelly Neiman, CNA, LPN, and RN is thrilled to be joining Essentia Urgent Care and continuing their journey as a nurse practitioner. She completed her BSN and MSN-FNP at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth after earning their CNA, LPN, and RN, AS certifications at Central Lakes College. With more than twenty years in healthcare, Shelly brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm that will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the team in serving the community. Her nursing background has provided the opportunity to care for and understand a variety of patient conditions and situations, ranging from the needs of residents in long-term care to patients in the ICU, peri-anesthesia, and endoscopy settings. Shelly spent the bulk of her career in internal medicine and home-based primary care.

Beyond her professional background, Shelly's interests include sourdough baking, gardening, quilting, and being outdoors - especially camping and ice fishing. They enjoy these activities with their enthusiastic golden retriever, Duke, and their semi-interested cat, Lucy. Shelly relocated to Brainerd to be closer to family and friends and to spend more time with several of their grandchildren.

Shelly is confident that she will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission and vision of Essentia Urgent Care. They look forward to the contributions they will make and the successes the team will achieve together.
