Bio

Jenna Altobelli is a certified nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She joined Essentia in 2009 as a certified nurse assistant then worked her way to her current role which she started in 2020. 

Jenna earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from The College of Saint Scholastica with biology and psychology minors. She worked as a floor nurse for 6 years while she went to graduate school. She received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from The College of Saint Scholastica in 2019, specializing in family practice. 

Jenna started working in Family Practice in 2019 then transitioned into her current role in Wound Care and General Surgery in 2020.  

Jenna works with patients with a wide variety of chronic conditions for management of wounds, aiding to hasten healing. Jenna specializes in management of venous stasis and diabetic foot wounds, as well as other wounds, such as traumatic injuries or surgical infections.  

In the General Surgery realm, she works closely with the surgeons in Virginia to manage patients with trauma, acute illness, breast, colon, and rectal cancers, and injuries. 

Jenna is certified in advanced trauma life support, neonatal resuscitation program, advanced cardiac life support, and basic life support. 

When Jenna is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and staying active. She loves curling, playing community ed volleyball, golfing, hunting, and fishing.
