Benjamin Turner, MD

Dr. Benjamin Turner is a family medicine doctor who has been with Essentia Health since 2011. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biomedical science with highest honors at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and attended medical school at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Duluth, MN, participating in the Rural Physician Associate Program.  He went on to complete his family medicine residency at the Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program, focusing on rural healthcare.  

Although no longer practicing obstetrics, Dr. Turner continues to provide both outpatient and inpatient care and has served in many leadership and teaching roles in the medical community since his arrival.

He is passionate about providing high-quality, comprehensive care in the rural community he serves.  Outside of his career, he enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle with his wife and two sons, including fishing, hunting, skiing, trail running, and mountain biking.
