Megan Thiel, APRN, CNP, is a dedicated medical professional who recently joined Essentia Health, drawn by its strong commitment to community-focused care, teamwork, and creating a welcoming environment for both patients and employees. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care and is excited to be part of a team that shares her values. 

Originally from outside the region, Megan has personal ties to the area through her sister, who also works at Essentia Health. Her decision to specialize in hospital-based medicine stems from her love of the dynamic and challenging nature of acute care. She thrives in the collaborative environment of hospital medicine and enjoys the diversity of cases it offers. 

In her practice, Megan prioritizes connection, trust, and empathy, ensuring that every patient and family she works with receives the same care and compassion she would want for her own loved ones. She believes that medicine is not just about treating illnesses but also about building meaningful relationships and understanding each patient’s unique needs. 

Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her 13-year-old son and her partner, Bobby. She looks forward to welcoming a furry, four-legged friend into their home soon. Her hobbies include lake days, traveling, reading, enjoying a good filet, and making memories with family and friends.
