Kristine Stompro, PA⁠–⁠C

Kristine Stompro, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who provides care in orthopedic surgery. She evaluates and treats bone, joint, and muscle conditions, including sports injuries and other orthopedic concerns.

Kristine has a strong interest in sports medicine. Before becoming a physician assistant, she worked in athletic training. She enjoys caring for athletes and active patients with sprains, strains, fractures, and overuse injuries. She focuses on identifying the source of pain through hands-on exams, including checking movement, strength, and joint stability. This approach helps her understand the problem and guide treatment.

Kristine works closely with each patient to explain their injury and review treatment options. She believes clear information helps patients make confident decisions about their care and recovery. Her background in urgent care also gives her experience treating sudden injuries and helping patients know when specialty care is needed.

She earned her degree from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Kristine practiced in Urgent Care in Detroit Lakes for eight years before joining orthopedic surgery, and she continues to serve the same community.

Outside of work, Kristine enjoys home improvement projects and learning new skills like plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
