Heather Wittmer, OTR/L

Heather Wittmer, MS, OTR/L, is an inpatient and outpatient occupational therapist at Essentia Health. She joined Essentia in 2021 and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across a broad range of rehabilitation and behavioral health needs.

Heather earned her Bachelor of Science from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.

Her clinical expertise includes conducting clinical driving evaluations and providing evidence-based interventions for individuals with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, concussions, and vision deficits, as well as generalized weakness and adult sensory defensiveness. Heather is PWR! certified and has experience supporting individuals with ADHD and behavioral health needs through tailored occupational therapy interventions. She also serves as the occupational therapist for the Superior Adult Partial Hospitalization Program, offering specialized care in a structured therapeutic environment.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys traveling throughout the United States, painting, hiking, paddle boarding, and playing cribbage.
