Dennis Mensah, MD

Dennis Mensah, MD, is a dedicated physician who specializes in internal medicine, driven by a passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to serving underserved populations. He is inspired by Essentia Health’s strong connection to the community and its focus on providing compassionate care in both urban and rural settings.  

Originally inspired by stories from colleagues who practiced in North Dakota’s rural communities, Dr. Mensah values the opportunity to build lasting relationships and provide care that truly makes a difference in people’s lives. 

As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Mensah provides holistic care and helps patients navigate complex medical conditions to achieve their best health. He appreciates how internal medicine serves as the intersection of all specialties, allowing him to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives. Building long-term relationships with patients, their families, and their communities is central to his approach, as he finds fulfillment in helping others and making a positive difference. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Mensah enjoys watching documentaries, playing soccer, watching basketball, and engaging in friendly games of ping pong. These hobbies reflect his curiosity, love for teamwork, and appreciation for balance in life. Known for his thoughtful and compassionate demeanor, Dr. Mensah strives each day to improve lives through medicine and genuine human connection.
