Minnesota Department of Human Services Upper Midwest Rural Interdisciplinary Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) (UMRISE) Project
Objective
The purpose of the Upper Midwest Rural Interdisciplinary Substance Use Disorder (SUD)/Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) ECHO (UMRISE) Project is to improve capacity of interdisciplinary teams in primary care and other healthcare settings in treating individuals with SUD and OUD. It offers two Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) programs focused on SUD/OUD prevention, treatment, and harm reduction, and provides continuing education (CE) credits to participants. The project's primary goals are:
- Increase interdisciplinary healthcare team capacity (knowledge, self-efficacy) and intent to offer OUD and other SUD treatment.
- Provide CE credits recognized by national and/or state boards for professionals included in the target audience.
- Successfully manage the Upper Midwest Rural Interdisciplinary SUD/OUD ECHO (UMRISE) Project.
