Better Together Planning Grant
Objective
The Better Together Behavioral Health Network (BTBHN) project’s purpose is to expand access to holistic, person-centered behavioral health care for all ages by developing a non-profit network to increase collaboration across networks and communities in Northern St. Louis County, MN (NSLC). This project defines behavioral health as: promotion of mental health, prevention of substance use, and access to treatment and recovery resources to support individuals and their families affected by mental health and/or substance use and to increase resilience and wellbeing. The three project goals to fulfill this purpose are to:
Goal 1. Create a formal regional network [501(c)(3) organization], the BTBHN, to encourage leadership commitment and cross-organizational and network collaboration.
Goal 2. Develop strategies and tools for working across networks and across the region.
Goal 3. Successfully manage the BTBHN. The BTBHN’s anticipated outcomes are increased collaboration among entities in NSLC, development of a strategic plan with detailed work plans, and structures in place to sustain the rural network after the grant ends.
