Downtown Duluth, MN Parking Information

For appointments and visits to our downtown Duluth campus, free valet parking or one of two parking ramps may be the most convenient option for you. Select the building you will be visiting from the options below.

  • For appointments at Duluth Clinic’s 1st Street Building (Building A)

    Use our free valet parking

    • When: M - F: 7 am – 6 pm
    • Where: You will see a valet post at the 2nd Street entrance of St. Mary’s Medical Center, 402 E. 2nd Street.
    • How: You will be greeted and assisted as needed.
      • The attendant will park your vehicle.
      • You will be provided with a number to text when you are ready.
      • Once you are inside, follow the signs to Duluth Clinic 1st Street (Building A).

    Ramp parking: Use the City of Duluth Lakeside Ramp (Purple Ramp)

    • When: The skywalk from this ramp to the clinic is open M - F: 6:30 am - 5:30 pm
    • Where: 302 E. 1st Street.
      • The best access to the city ramp is via East 1st Street.
      • The skywalk on Level 2 will take you to Duluth Clinic 1st Street (Building A).
      • Use your map app for directions: You can type “300-398 E 1st Garage, Duluth” into an online map to get directions from your location.
    • Payment options:
      • Parking must be pre-paid upon entry and parking.
      • Automated walk-up pay station on second level, near skywalk. Enter your license plate, and pay by cash, credit card, or debit card. Or,
      • Use the signage in the parking ramp to scan a QR code, enter your license plate, and pay from your phone.
    • Note: Essentia cannot validate tickets for the city ramp.
  • For appointments at Duluth Clinic 2nd Street (Building C) or Duluth Clinic 3rd Street (Building F)

    Use our free valet parking

      • M - F: 5:15 am - 10 pm
      • Saturday & Sunday: 8 am - 10 pm
    • Where:
      • Enter the ramp on E. 2nd or E. 3rd Street, between 4th Ave. E. and 5th Ave. E.
      • This ramp is next to the Duluth Clinic 3rd Street (Building F).
      • Use the skywalk to Duluth Clinic 2nd Street (Building C).
    • Cost (hourly):
      • Free for 2 hours
      • $1 per hour after ($7 daily max rate)
      • Free parking with validation.
    • Payment options: Automated gates require a credit or debit card to pay. No cash is accepted.
  • For appointments at Essentia Health-Duluth (Building D)

    Use our free valet parking

    Emergency Department Parking
    Patients are encouraged to use the patient drop-off/limited temporary parking available outside the Emergency Department entrance on 1st Street at 401 E. 1st Street, Duluth, MN.

If you have trouble walking, there are wheelchairs and transport staff to help you get where you need to go once you arrive. Our valet is also equipped to support patients with wheelchairs. Ask for help at any of the volunteer, guest services, or check-in desks.
