A series of 2 evening classes, Childbirth Preparation is based upon Lamaze Childbirth Education principles. It is designed to help prepare you for the delivery of your baby. It is ideal to take this class when you are between 28 and 32 weeks pregnant.
This class will cover
- Pregnancy warning signs
- Signs and stages of labor
- Hospital admission and routines
- Pain relief choices
- Vaginal and cesarean births
- Comfort strategies for labor
- Welcoming your newborn – characteristics and care
- Postpartum care – life after baby
- Tips for and the role of your support person
