Childbirth Preparation - Detroit Lakes, MN

This series of 3 evening Childbirth Preparation classes is designed to help prepare you for the delivery of your baby. It is ideal to start taking this class when you are between 28 and 32 weeks pregnant, but it may be taken at any point in your pregnancy.
Registration reserves space for mother and her partner.

Topics covered include:

• The process of birth
• Positioning and relaxation techniques for labor
• Role of support person during labor
• Discussion of various choices for mother during birth
• Interventions (Induction, pain medication options, Cesarean birth)
• Adjusting to parenthood
• Care of newborn
• Birthing Center Tour

This class will be offered in-person, at Essentia Health Detroit Lakes Hospital, and remote via teams.  You will get an email one week before the start of the first class with instructions for both options.
