This one-night class is recommended before the birth of your baby. A certified Lactation Consultant will go over how to give your baby the best possible start with breastfeeding. We encourage your support person to also attend. There will be plenty of time during class to ask questions.
This class will cover:
- The benefits and management of exclusive breastfeeding.
- How to start breastfeeding within one hour of birth through the golden hours or skin to skin.
- Understanding when your baby is hungry and how to know they are getting enough to eat.
- The benefits of rooming-in.
- Highlights for your support person.
This class is an Online class and will Not meet in person. Enjoy the class while sitting on your couch. Please have a stuffed animal, doll or pillow available to practice the breastfeeding positions during the class. We encourage your support person to watch the class with you if able.
When registering for the class use a valid email address as this will be how I send you the link to "Join" the class:
1. Use a Web browser or download the free "Teams App" on your smartphone, tablet, etc.
2. Click on the "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" in the email that will be sent to you a few days prior to start date
3. You will need to have a Microsoft account to join
4. Make sure to sign-in prior to the start date to ensure it works
