Essentia Health-West Duluth Clinic welcomes family medicine specialist Dr. Jacob Wilcox

Dr. Jacob Wilcox, a family medicine specialist, is thrilled to join the Essentia Health-West Duluth Clinic.

“I came to Duluth as an undergrad and fell in love with the city and people,” said Dr. Wilcox. “I came back in residency to train at Essentia. During that time, I learned all about the organization and I got to personally know a large portion of the medical staff in the area. I chose to join Essentia after training as I realized this was the perfect place to start a practice and I genuinely really liked the people I would be working with.”

Dr. Wilcox earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin-Green Bay in De Pere. He completed his residency at Essentia and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  

“I chose to practice family medicine because I enjoy building lasting relationships and being there for people through all stages of life,” said Dr. Wilcox. “Family medicine doctors are there for both everyday concerns and life’s bigger challenges, and I’m here for every medical concern or question you have.”
