Essentia Health-Virginia Clinic welcomes orthopedic hand specialist Dr. Madelyn Lauer

The Essentia Health-Virginia Clinic is proud to welcome Dr. Madelyn Lauer, an orthopedic hand specialist.

Dr. Lauer earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City and her hand surgery fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

“My experience as a patient has greatly influenced my practice,” said Dr. Lauer. “I recognize there are many things in life outside of a diagnosis that may affect the best way to care for you. In my clinic, we will discuss the pros and cons of both nonoperative and operative treatments to help evaluate the spectrum of options together.”
