Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center welcomes interventional radiologist Dr. Jacob Lescher

Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center is proud to welcome Dr. Jacob Lescher, an interventional radiologist.

"I chose to join Essentia because the organization has great support staff, so we can provide a high level of care and offer complex procedures to patients," said Dr. Lescher. "The people that I get to work with on a daily basis are wonderful to work with and the types of pathology and procedures here are challenging and complex."

Dr. Lescher earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he also completed his integrated interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology residency.

“Most patients are understandably nervous when they come to see an interventional radiologist,” said Dr. Lescher. “They often aren’t sure exactly what the procedure involves and they simply don’t know what to expect, which can be scary. My goal is to provide patients with a good understanding of the procedure they will be undergoing and perform it seamlessly.

“One of the most gratifying experiences is informing a patient that their procedure is over and having them tell me they didn’t know I had started.”
