Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center welcomes hospitalist Dr. Lilian Chen

Dr. Lilian Chen, a hospitalist, is thrilled to join Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center.

“I wanted to join a health care system that was capable of handling most medical pathologies with excellent specialist support,” said Dr. Chen. “Additionally, collegiality was another important factor for me, and I found all that and more here at Essentia.”

Dr. Chen earned her medical degree from the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. She completed her internal medicine residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown.

“Knowledge and the ability to address all medical problems were important to me in choosing internal medicine, and the level of acuity of hospital medicine was something that I wanted to see in my career,” said Dr. Chen. “I believe that medicine is a team effort and try to incorporate that in my practice.”
