Rounding up Essentia media coverage from January
February 03, 2025 By: Louie St. George

Essentia Health fielded the typically steady stream of media interest about the first babies born at our hospitals to kick off the new year. January ended with an abundance of coverage surrounding the exciting announcement between Essentia and the University of Minnesota of a proposed new nonprofit health system.
In between, reporters told a variety of stories — highlighting "Dry January"; one of our nurse leaders at St. Mary's Medical Center, Missy Rock; cervical cancer awareness and HPV vaccination; and a dramatic rise in seasonal illnesses.
Each month, we share some of our favorite Essentia-related stories on the Newsroom. Here are a few of the highlights from December; please note that some of these stories require log-in credentials and thus may not be accessible for all.
