Recapping Essentia’s media coverage in August — quadruplets steal the spotlight
September 02, 2025 By: Louie St. George

One word comes to mind when characterizing Essentia Health's media coverage for the month of August — quadruplets. The four tiny babies born to Gabby and Bobbijean Gidley of Superior stole the spotlight last month. Technically born July 28 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, the quadruplets made their media debuts in early August.
It was the first time quadruplets were born at St. Mary’s since 1999.
“Essentia just made it as easy a process as it possibly could be. It’s almost like they did it every day,” Gabby Gidley told the Superior Telegram.
Other Essentia-related media coverage in August focused on back-to-school preparedness, continuing conversations around Medicaid and the importance of telehealth and a set of triplets born at Essentia Health-Fargo.
Each month, we share some of our favorite Essentia-related stories on the Newsroom. Here are a few of the highlights from August; please note that some of these stories require log-in credentials and thus may not be accessible for all.
