Essentia Health-Park Rapids Clinic to offer sports physical and well-child/teen visit events
April 22, 2026 By: Caitlin Pallai

To help student-athletes prepare for the 2026-27 sports season, Essentia Health will offer sports physical and well-child/teen visit events in April and May.
Events will be held at the Essentia Health-Park Rapids Clinic, located at 705 Pleasant Ave. S., from 8-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, and Saturday, May 16.
Sports physicals are required for children to compete in school sports and can help identify any health issues that might interfere with sports performance or increase the chances of injury. Getting a sports physical done early helps beat the rush before the school year begins. In Minnesota, sports physicals are good for three years. Forms are available online at mshsl.org.
A sports physical can be completed on its own or as part of a well-child/teen visit. Well-child/teen visits are a great time to review your child’s health in all areas – growth, cognitive and social development, illness prevention, mental health and more. These visits are recommended annually.
Athletes are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Sports physicals are $57 if not using insurance. Students do not need to be Essentia patients.
Appointments are encouraged but not required. Please call (218) 732-2800 to schedule.
