Essentia Health in the news for July

Essentia Health celebrated significant milestones and shared impactful community stories this July. The Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program marked its 50th anniversary, highlighting its long-standing commitment to training skilled physicians who practice in rural areas throughout our region. Renovations are underway to help transform the historic Sandstone School into 32 new workforce housing units and CEO Dr. David Herman provided insights regarding the important role Medicaid plays for our patients and our communities.
This month also featured inspiring personal stories, including a CrossFit coach's remarkable recovery from a stroke, showcasing the powerful bond with her therapy team. As summer unfolded, Essentia Health providers emphasized essential safety reminders, including tips for heat and water safety and preventing swimmer's itch.
