The Essentia Health-Virginia Clinic is pleased to welcome Kelsey Fairbanks, a doctor of audiology.

Fairbanks is from the Deer River area. She’s excited to return home and practice at Essentia.

“I previously completed a clinical rotation in Grand Rapids and enjoyed my time within the Essentia Health clinical setting,” Fairbanks said. “I was impressed by the level of commitment to patient-centered care.”

Fairbanks received her education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

A descendant of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, Fairbanks is especially interested in working with Native Americans, which “are the demographic most impacted by hearing-related issues.” She’s also passionate about treating children.

“I am dedicated to a collaborative approach in clinical practice,” she said. “Having open communication and understanding your options to come to a joint decision with your provider ensures not only your satisfaction as a patient, but that you are also in control of your own clinical experience.”

To schedule an appointment with Fairbanks, please call (218) 305-0000. To see her full profile, please visit EssentiaHealth.org and click on “find a doctor.”
