Essentia Health-Hermantown Clinic welcomes family medicine specialist Dr. Emily Bergstedt

Dr. Emily Bergstedt, a family medicine specialist, is thrilled to join the Essentia Health-Hermantown Clinic.

“I grew up in Esko, and I’ve always planned on returning to the Northland to practice medicine,” said Dr. Bergstedt. “I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the community that raised me and to be part of a health system that shares my passion for helping people live healthier lives.”

Dr. Bergstedt earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She completed her family medicine residency at St. John’s Hospital in St. Paul and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

“I love this profession because I love people and their stories,” said Dr. Bergstedt. “I find it deeply meaningful to get to know patients on a personal level and to support them through the joys of their health successes as well as the challenges of new medical diagnoses. I hope to know my patients over several years and to care for them through all of life’s changes.”
