Essentia Health offering heart screenings in Moose Lake and Sandstone

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, with one person dying every 33 seconds from cardiovascular disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In recognition of American Heart Month, Essentia Health is offering enhanced access to heart screenings in Sandstone and Moose Lake to help discover signs of heart issues.  

The comprehensive heart screenings will be offered from 7:30-9 a.m. on Feb. 17, 18 and 19 at Essentia Health-Sandstone, located at 705 Lundorff Dr.  

Heart screenings will be offered from 8:30-10 a.m. on Feb. 23, 24 and 25 at Essentia Health-Moose Lake, located at 4572 County Rd. 61.  

No appointment is needed. Please register at the front desk. Patients are asked to refrain from eating for at least eight hours prior to the test. Medications can be taken with water only.  

There is a $15 charge for the screening.
