Emily Curley, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in hospitalist medicine, is thrilled to join Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center. She has worked for Essentia for about seven years in a variety of roles, and is excited to continue her career here.

“Growing up in Duluth, I have always received my health care through Essentia and have had great experiences,” said Curley. “My mom, a registered nurse, has worked for Essentia for more than 25 years and has always spoken highly of the system and the care that is provided. Through these experiences, when I returned home after my undergraduate degree, it seemed like a no-brainer to pursue a career with Essentia, and I’m so thankful I did.”

Curley received her education from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“Having spent seven years as a critical care nurse at Essentia and after a wide variety of clinical experience as a student in the Essentia system, I have had the great opportunity to work with numerous hospitalists and see the daily impact they have in the lives of their patients and families,” said Curley. “I view the hospitalist as a jack-of-all-trades, someone who knows a lot about everything, which is something I truly admire and aspire to be.”
