Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center welcomes cardiology practitioner Allison Swenson

Allison Swenson, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner, is excited to join the cardiology team at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center. She has worked for Essentia since 2016 in a variety of roles.

“I received my primary care from Essentia and had good experiences, which led me to want to work here,” said Swenson.

Swenson received her education from Winona State University in Minnesota. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I am excited to be able to serve patients in a different capacity and provide a better quality of life,” said Swenson. “I will be working with heart failure patients to provide guideline-directed medical therapy, as well as help manage other cardiovascular conditions that may be contributing, while collaborating with the cardiology team.”
