Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes welcomes emergency medicine specialist Dr. Abraham Campos

Essentia Health St. Mary's-Detroit Lakes is proud to welcome Dr. Abraham Campos, who specializes in emergency medicine.

"During my fellowship, I had the opportunity to moonlight at rural community hospitals and found that I enjoyed the atmosphere and responsibility of a smaller hospital serving its own community," said Dr. Campos. "Essentia Health has a great reputation as a well-supported organization."

Dr. Campos received his medical degree from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and his fellowship at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

"I was interested in the full range of medicine during medical school and wanted to be able to take care of any patient who was having a medical emergency," explained Dr. Campos. "I also enjoy performing procedures and the spontaneity of emergency medicine."
