Allergy and immunology specialist Dr. Danilo Dalan joins Essentia Health-South University Clinic

The Essentia Health-South University Clinic is excited to welcome Dr. Danilo Dalan, who specializes in allergy and immunology.

"There continues to be a need for the allergy/asthma/immunology specialty in the region," explained Dr. Dalan, who has long-time work and family ties to the area. "My wife also liked it here, and so it was an easy decision to return to Fargo and work for Essentia Health. It's good to be back home."

Dr. Dalan earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of North Dakota and a fellowship in allergy immunology at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. He is certified by the American Board of Allergy Immunology.

"I have allergies myself and in the family, and there continues to be a shortage of experts in this field," said Dr. Dalan. "I am active in advocacy and care, especially of the underserved as they are more vulnerable to the outdoor environment as our climate changes."
