Essentia Health opening urgent care in Deerwood

Essentia Health is expanding care options for the patients we are privileged to serve in the Deerwood community by opening an urgent care in the Essentia Health St. Joseph’s-Deerwood Clinic.

The Essentia Health Urgent Care-Deerwood will open on Monday, May 19.

Our urgent care locations provide treatment for illnesses and injuries that are not life-threatening but may need X-rays and/or lab tests that require a blood draw. This will allow patients to more conveniently access a higher level of care when necessary.

”Providing this service is crucial, especially in rural areas where access to immediate medical care can be limited,” said Sandy Zutz-Wiczek, Essentia’s vice president of operations for the Brainerd Lakes area. “This facility not only ensures that residents receive timely and essential health care but also underscores our unwavering commitment to our patients’ well-being."

The urgent care will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
