Essentia Health offering heart screenings in Moose Lake and Sandstone

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States with one person dying every 33 seconds from cardiovascular disease. That's according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). February is American Heart Month, and Essentia Health is offering heart screenings in Sandstone and Moose Lake to help discover signs of heart issues in patients.

The heart screenings will include a full lipid panel and glucose test, and will be offered from 7:30-9 a.m. on Feb. 18, 19 and 20 at Essentia Health-Sandstone, located at 705 Lundorff Dr.

Heart screenings will be offered from 8:30-10 a.m. on Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at Essentia Health-Moose Lake, located at 4572 County Road 61.

No appointment is needed. Please register at the registration desk. Do not eat for at least eight hours prior to the test. Medications can be taken with water only.

There is a $15 charge for the screening.
