Essentia Health-related media coverage in June highlighted several topics, including Men's Health Month, Essentia's medical leadership during Grandma's Marathon in Duluth and a forward-looking Scrubs Camp that promotes health care careers among teenagers.

In Detroit Lakes, Essentia’s Paul Sweere was featured after being named the Minnesota Hospital Association’s Community Health Worker of the Year. One colleague comment on Sweere’s nomination said: “Paul’s ability to meet patients where they are — both physically and emotionally — has helped them navigate complex healthcare and social service systems with dignity and success.”

Each month, we share some of our favorite Essentia-related stories on the Newsroom. Here are a few of the highlights from June; please note that some of these stories require log-in credentials and thus may not be accessible for all.
