Essentia Health in the news for February
March 04, 2025 By: Louie St. George

February is American Heart Month, and Essentia Health helped to raise awareness via several media stories. We called attention to our heart-risk assessment tool and also shared a wonderful story about a sheriff's deputy from Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota, who received life-saving care at St. Mary's Medical Center — after his colleagues used an automated external defibrillator donated by Essentia to administer seven shocks.
We continued to discuss the many benefits that would accompany our proposed partnership with the University of Minnesota. There was a comprehensive story about our new distribution center in Esko, Minnesota, a mother who raved about the midwifery team at Essentia Health-Fargo and coverage of a grant we received to improve ultrasound equipment.
Each month, we share some of our favorite Essentia-related stories on the Newsroom. Here are a few of the highlights from February; please note that some of these stories require log-in credentials and thus may not be accessible for all.
