Essentia Health hosting bike-safety event in Staples

Essentia Health is excited to announce a bike-safety event on Tuesday, May 6 in Staples, aimed at promoting safe-cycling practices among children and families.

The bike-safety event will feature a variety of activities designed to educate participants on the importance of bicycle safety, including reviewing bike-safety rules and receiving a bike-safety check. In addition, local law enforcement and emergency services will be present to provide demonstrations and share valuable safety tips. If a child does not have a bike helmet, or the one they have does not fit properly, they will receive one from Essentia.

“At Essentia, we believe in the power of community engagement to foster healthier lifestyles,” said Sandy Zutz-Wiczek, vice president of operations at Essentia. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, learn about bike safety and enjoy an evening of fun and education."”

The bike-safety event is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend and take part in the various activities planned for the evening. The event will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Essentia Health St. Joseph’s-Staples Clinic, located at 301 Second Ave. NW.

Essentia Health is dedicated to making a healthy difference in the lives of the communities it serves. Through initiatives like this bike-safety event, Essentia continues to support and promote the well-being of families in the Staples area.
