Essentia Health holding community open house for new clinic in Staples
July 24, 2024 By: Anthony Matt
Essentia Health is excited to open the doors at our new clinic in Staples. We are inviting the community to attend an open house and ribbon-cutting for the Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Staples Clinic, located at 301 Second Ave. NW.
The event is from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30. There, you can tour the clinic, talk to Essentia staff members and learn about the services and care options provided.
The stand-alone clinic represents a multi-million-dollar investment in the community that will bring 16,000 square feet of new space, state-of-the-art equipment and as many as 25 new employees. This investment will allow us to expand care to our patients in Staples and the surrounding communities. Construction of the clinic was made possible with the help of a generous donation from the Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Foundation.
“This clinic highlights our commitment to providing care closer to home for the patients we are privileged to serve,” said Sandy Zutz-Wiczek, vice president of operations for Essentia. “Essentia Health has proudly served the Staples area since 1981 and we are happy to expand the health care options available to better meet the needs of the local community now — and into the future. We know there’s a demand for increased access to care in the Staples area, and we are honored to be able to provide that excellent care for local residents.”
The clinic will also feature an urgent care, orthopedic urgent care and a pharmacy, which will open later this year.
The clinic boasts a team of nationally recognized orthopedic doctors, who were recently honored by the Joint Commission for their outstanding work in knee- and hip-replacement procedures.
We offer many other care options at this location, including primary care, cardiology, surgical specialties, physical therapy, radiology, lab services and a pharmacy. All exam rooms will be set up for telehealth visits.
The drive-through pharmacy is a convenient option for our patients, allowing them access to the medications they need without having to get out of their vehicle.
The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Urgent care will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the pharmacy will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The clinic is located at 301 Second Ave. NW. Appointments can be made by calling (218) 894-7870 or by using MyChart.
