The Essentia Health Foundation is honored to announce a significant contribution from Alan and Gina Amatuzio.
The $125,000 gift, to be paid over five years, will establish the Amatuzio Family AMSOIL Fund (AFAF). The AFAF will provide financial assistance to families of pediatric oncology patients who are experiencing hardships resulting from their child’s diagnosis and treatment requirements. Families in need will be identified by Essentia’s oncology care team.
"We are incredibly grateful to Alan and Gina Amatuzio for their generous donation to support pediatric oncology,” said Matt Piede, chief development officer for the Essentia Health Foundation. “This gift will make a significant impact on the lives of children battling cancer, along with their families, and we are truly thankful for their unwavering support and commitment to our cause.”
The Essentia Health Foundation fosters charitable support for patients and families across the Upper Midwest. Collectively, we oversee 11 local foundations, which are dedicated to improving health care in their respective communities.
From meals and lodging, to purchasing state-of-the-art equipment, the Essentia Health Foundation funds programs that directly benefit patients, families and local communities. With gifts like the one from Alan, who is the chairman and CEO of Superior-based AMSOIL INC., and his wife, Gina, we can better meet the needs of the people we’re honored to serve.
This contribution will positively affect the lives of some of our most vulnerable patients — those receiving pediatric oncology care — and their loved ones.
“We understand the tremendous burden childhood cancer places on families,” Alan and Gina share. “We want to help families manage the financial obstacles and relieve a small amount of stress as they battle this disease.”
Essentia Health’s family of foundations is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the patients, families and communities that we serve across the Upper Midwest. For more information, please contact us at [email protected] or (218) 786-8966.
