Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic welcomes gastroenterology and liver care specialist Nicole Swanson

Nicole Swanson, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in gastroenterology and liver care, is thrilled to join the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. She has worked at Essentia since 2008 in a variety of roles and is looking forward to this new chapter in providing health care to patients in the region.

“As a bedside nurse, I spent many years caring for patients with gastrointestinal issues requiring surgery,” said Swanson. “When I transitioned to the nurse practitioner role, I continued to be drawn to treating patients with gastrointestinal concerns. I am passionate about practicing in a specialty that encompasses a wide spectrum of conditions, where I can significantly impact symptom management and improve patients’ quality of life.”

Swanson received her education from the College of St. Scholastica and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
