Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic welcomes urologist Dr. Jerrod Heermans

Dr. Jerrod Heermans, a urology specialist, is thrilled to join the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. 

“I chose Essentia Health because I did some of my medical school training at its facilities,” said Dr. Heermans. “I’ve heard great things about the organization from my fellow students and am excited to be a part of the team caring for patients in the Northland.”

Dr. Heermans earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He completed his general surgery residency and urology fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He is certified by the American Board of Urology.

“I try to connect with patients on a personal level, and strive to demonstrate empathy and respect throughout all interactions,” said Dr. Heermans. “I look forward to collaborating with my patients to determine the best choices for their health care.”
