Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic welcomes hematology and oncology specialist Dr. Robert Kraft

Dr. Robert Kraft, a hematology and oncology specialist, is thrilled to join the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic.

“Essentia is a perfect blend of my professional goals in treating patients with a wide variety of oncologic and hematologic conditions,” said Dr. Kraft. “I know the area very well, having grown up here, and it is a very gratifying feeling after many years of medical training to finally come home and take care of those who helped me get to where I am today.”

Dr. Kraft earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

“My main mission as a doctor is to be an effective communicator with patients and loved ones dealing with a diagnosis of cancer to support a meaningful quality of life,” said Dr. Kraft. “I have a passion for the service of others rooted in my faith and will work hard to advocate for the best interests of the patients I take care of.”
