Community health impact survey seeks input from Fosston area
September 26, 2024 By: Louie St. George
Every three years, Essentia Health and all nonprofit health systems in Minnesota conduct Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) in collaboration with the communities we serve.
Through the Community Health Needs Assessment process, we work together with community partners to pursue shared goals that will make a meaningful impact and a healthy difference beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics. That process is about to begin in Fosston and the surrounding area.
A community health survey helps guide this collaborative effort, giving people a direct voice in the process by sharing their lived experiences with issues impacting community health. During the CHNA development process, our colleagues work alongside other community organizations and stakeholders to engage with area residents, identify priority community health needs and develop strategies to address those needs.
We invite the public to participate in the Fosston area community health survey now through Oct. 31. It is available online in both English and Spanish at Fosston Community Health Needs Assessment Survey.
Past CHNA survey results have guided our collective efforts to improve the well-being of area youth through positive social programming and mentorship. As a community, we worked together to increase much-needed access to local childcare. Our collective efforts also created new and improved ways to be active by funding new pickleball courts and resurfacing the track at Thompson Field in Fosston.
Together, we can make a positive impact on health and well-being in Fosston. If you have questions or need assistance with the survey, please email [email protected].
