Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismarck 9th Street Clinic welcomes gastroenterologist Dr. Nicholas Battista

The Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismarck 9th Street Clinic is excited to welcome gastroenterologist Dr. Nicholas Battista.

"I chose to Join Essentia to be a part of a newly formed group of great gastrointestinal practitioners and provide a high level of care in a timely manner," said Dr. Battista, who has practiced gastrointestinal medicine in Bismarck for four years.

Dr. Battista earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy, Sint Maarten. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Ascension Providence Hospital – Southfield in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Battista is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

"I chose gastrointestinal medicine because, through our procedures, we can prevent cancer in real-time," said Dr. Battista. "I like discussing the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle with my patients as well as reassuring them, when I can, that we will be able to find a reason for their ailments and treat them."
