Austin Fournier joins Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic to practice hematology and oncology

Austin Fournier, certified physician assistant, is excited to begin practicing hematology and oncology at the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. He has spent the last two years working in urgent care at Essentia.    

“Hematology and oncology have always interested me,” said Fournier. “I have researched early diagnosis of cancer and worked on cancer clinical trials. It has been an area that I enjoyed working in and I enjoy that patient population as well. Cancer has touched many of our lives in some way, including mine personally. My hope is to provide the best possible care and support to those who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis and try to make the experience as comfortable as possible.”

Fournier received his education from the College of St. Scholastica. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
